It can sometimes be convenient to have a few extra appointment slots available at the last minute for emergencies, for example. Of course you don't want these appointment slots to be already booked several weeks in advance. By setting up a Last-minute booking time slot, you can anticipate this.

On this page you’ll find:

What is “Last-minute booking”?

The "Last-minute booking" option generally serves for emergencies; to open up appointment slots at the last moment, when it is usually no longer possible to still book an appointment on the day itself (the agenda is already full).

Example: you create a "Last-minute booking" slot for June 4 from 2pm to 6pm, with "24 hours notice,".
This means: appointments in that time slot can be booked 24h in advance at the earliest. So starting June 3, 2pm.
This does NOT mean: patients can no longer book an appointment e.g. 23h in advance.
If you don't want patients to be able to book appointments e.g. 23 hours in advance, you can set that in the Booking preferences --> “Minimum number of hours in advance”.

Enable “Last minute booking”

  1. Go to your Timetable (this link only works if you are already logged into your Rosa account).

  2. In the first step select 'Last-minute booking'.

  3. Decide how many hours in advance the time slot will be made available.

  4. Don’t forget to finish the other steps to create the time slot.

How a “Last-minute booking” slot is shown in your agenda

In your agenda, a”Last-minute booking” time slot can be easily spotted by the little clock and dotted lines marking the hours of the time slot.

If you want to book an appointment in this time slot before the slot opens online ( so more than 24 hours in advance if we use the above example) the slot will colour orange when you hover over it with your mouse.

When you click on it, you will see a message: “This slot can only be booked 24 hours in advance by patients online.” You however, will always have the option to book an appointment in this time slot at any time.
